For this project, I created the brand Equal Motion to explore the role of inclusivity in fitness. I’ll assess why a brand evolution is necessary, identify key areas for improvement, and develop strategies to enhance its appeal. These changes will aim to strengthen the connection with users by fostering a sense of belonging and creating a more inclusive fitness experience.

My Role

Solo Project, Lead Designer

Duration

Fall Semester (3 Months)

I chose this project because of my own experience with living a healthier, more active lifestyle. While I didn’t have a disability, overcoming challenges with weight and adopting fitness not only improved my physical health but also had a profound positive impact on my mental well-being. This transformation inspired me to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, can experience these benefits. I recognized a growing need for greater accessibility in fitness for people with disabilities and felt compelled to address this issue. EqualMotion aims to give them a voice, creating opportunities for everyone to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.

Background

Project Objective

create an inclusive fitness ecosystem that empowers people with disabilities by addressing the lack of accessible workout opportunities and fostering a supportive community. Through tools like a tailored fitness application with an engaging social platform, and impactful visual materials, my aim is to raise awareness, drive change, and inspire action toward creating a more equitable fitness experience for all.
